I loved the retro style graphics and sound effects of this. Reminded me a lot of old computer games I used to enjoy a lot when I was young. The gameplay was pretty solid but didn't have really anything in it to keep it still fun after a while. The graphics style was well detailed and nicely colored. I wasn't much of a fan of the music though, a mute button would be handy.
The music did tend to drive some people crazy (including me, when I was testing this) - if you hover over the notes icon at the top left of the course selection screen, you'll find an option to "Please make it stop"!
This had very fun and original gameplay, of which I've never really seen before in a game. But it's pretty simplistic. Things like, upgrades, enemies and time limits would have made this more challenging and would have kept it from getting too repetitive. The art style was okay.
The animation at the beginning was vibrant, well detailed, happy and colorful. It reminded me somewhat of bracken wood and looked like a promising decent flash, but then I see that the rest of the episode is storyboards. However the story that you have written was quite swell and can still be enjoyed through the developement sketches. The one thing that you could've done to make it much, much more enjoyable throughout that part was add sound effects and voices. And perhaps music. If you plan to finish this in the future or make a cartoon with a similar plot to this one I would highly anticipate it!
Hey IamWeird33, thanks for your review! I made this animation almost a year ago. My original intention was to make the whole thing polished like the first bits, but I stopped when it was taking three days per shot working full time, so I stopped to find a new plan. (the whole story is here: http://larkinheather.newgrounds.com/n ews/post/481563) In any event, I'm hoping to try again more help and resources to make a more polished version for the next episode, with music etc. Anyways, thanks for watching! Hopefully I will have something better soon!

Impressive despite being unfinished
